Intramural Chairperson Position Description

  • Along with all SGA positions, the responsibility of attending meetings, events, and “lead week”.
  • Schedule short and long term for the various intramural sports seasons
  • Utilize the intramural website to administrate game schedules, rosters, and league settings
  • Find and schedule referees or scorekeepers for necessary games
  • Educate the campus on intramural events, deadlines, and upcoming activities
  • Work with SGA in sports related campus events (i.e. bubble soccer, homecoming volleyball tournament)
  • Work flexibly with the schedules of players and refs to find times that work
  • Work alongside the athletic department to reserve gym time and equipment
  • Maintain and order equipment needed
  • Set up and tear down for sports
  • Delegate work to a small team of helpers
  • Be able to administrate, deal with idiots (on occasion), and supervise
  • Knowledge of sports helps as well
